Used 1987 Mercedes 300E - All Original for sale in Indianapolis, IN

If you are looking for a future classic car, this is your vehicle. The pictures tell the story. This is an all-original 1987 Mercedes 300E in very nice unmolested condition. This would be a very easy restoration to new condition. It has the fuel injected 3.0 inline 6 cylinder engine and automatic transmission. These cars are made to cruise the Autobahn at 200kph all day.

The car has all the options from 1987 including cruise control, climate control, leather interior with memory seats, heated seats, power windows, moonroof, auto telescoping wheel, airbag, anti-lock brakes. 128,000 original miles.

Good:
- The car runs and drives nicely and has good tires and brakes. You can drive it home.
- No leaks.
- Ignition lock is replaced (common expensive repair on these cars).
- Most everything works, cruise, windows, moonroof, memory seats, telescope wheel, climate control, heated seats
- Interior is in excellent condition for the age - leather seats are supple and in good condition, plastic and wood trim is nice.
- Exterior is straight and clean - no dings or dents
- Glass is good
- Tires are good.
- Original owners manual and all supplements are included.
- Original Unused Mercedes Benz toolkit is included.

Known issues:
- The original paint has crazed. It can be buffed out to a shine, but it will need resprayed to be a show car
- Original Becker premium radio turns on and displays, but no sound. Power antenna doesn't work.
- Drivers seat has one wear spot on the left side bolster.
- Couple of small rust spots on the rocker panels behind the front wheels.
- Plastic front bumper is cracked. They get very brittle with age.
- Engine runs but the car has not been driven much in recent years - needs a few tanks of gas run through it and possibly a bit of tuning.
- Exhaust is a bit louder than stock - may need a muffler
- Wheels are later model for a more aggressive look.

Fewer and fewer of these available, and not very many with this option set and in this body/interior condition. May take a trade of equal or greater value: pickup, collector car, high end tools, machinery, heavy equipment. No junk.
