This highly original barn find car is from a very dry climate western state, and has had recent restoration to the R2 engine, with a professional rebuild with 0 miles on rebuild. in 2017,The factory supecharger is unrebuilt, as is the carburator and intake parts. A well know restorer/fabricator designed and fabricated a major upgrade to the front Disk brakes, suspension and steering. He stripped, inspected and painted the front subframe, and cleaned and inspected other areas of the frame and rear axel assembly. Modern steering rack installed, He installed and did custom fabrication work to install a1969 Ford Mustang disk brake conversion and front suspension modifications to actually allow an Avanti to steer, stop and handle like it never did in factory form. The original suspension, steering and most of the original front disk brake system is included in the sale of the car. THe car is in the condition body and interior-wise as the photos indicate. A solid body requiring stripping of cracking older repaint. The interior is somewhat sun baked and dry, but its there to work with.
