Vehicle Description
1931 Model A Ford S/W Deluxe Town Sedan
1931 Slant Windshield (S/W) Deluxe Town Sedan –Model 160 B. Nov. 1931 - Ser. No.: 4,826,753
The Slant Windshield Ford models began production in March of 1931, all metal body with interchangeable body parts. In September of 1931, Ford changed the fuel shut-off valve location from inside of the car to the front of the firewall (indented firewall) and moved the steering wheel support from the bottom of the gas tank to the under side of the dash to eliminate fuel tank leaks.
This S/W Deluxe Town Sedan features: Cowl lighting, Sculpted door handles with key lock in handle, Spare tire mounted on drivers’ side front fender (moved from rear of the car), and Rolldown rear quarter windows, however, it does have a few flaws, e.g., wrinkled right front fender (repairable), painted bumpers and a cowl mounted radio antenna.
This car:
1. New, Deluxe Sedan Interior: pleated seat covers, rear mounted interior light, rear window “pull down” shade, arm rests, robe rail, entrance/exit assist pulls, headliner, and new carpets (not the Standard Model rubber mats)
2. Five (5) new 19” Firestone Tires
3. New Radiator
4. New light wiring harness --- New dash wiring harness
5. 60-amp alternator (not a generator)
6. New 6-volt battery
7. New carburetor
8. Refurbished brake system – shoes, wheel bearings and adjustments
