1938 Chevrolet Business Coupe

This car has been in our family for many years. It is running well and mechanically sound. It was fully restored in the years past.

This car is mostly original. Thus, would be more considered a local town car or "parade" car.

Details of the restoration:

- Original 216 upgraded to a balanced and rebuilt 235 with a new OE oil pressure and filtration system
- All undercarriage parts and wheel bearings are new New Departure GM OE replacement parts
- All wood panels inside and trunk bed replaced with oak.
- New Rochester carburator replacement unit.
- Fenton Split Headers and a aluminum valve cover to quiet engine.
- Shocks converted to modern standards.
- 5 coats of commercial under seal to the entire underneath, and on the firewall inside and out.
- All interior pieces replaced. Every gauge and all lights work.
- Generator and electrical system converted to 12 Volts.
- High capacity fast flowing radiator and parade fan.

Recent work:

- Brake overhaul
- Gas tank removed and resealed
- New battery

Issues:

- Running board rubber coating starting to peel.
- Shocks (currently ac/delco) are in need of replacing.
