Vehicle Description
Time to move on. I will regret it, but have to let it go.
1940 Chrysler Royal
Provenance - I have owned this for about 5 years, just taking it to local shows and meetups. The previous owner had it for about 10 years, had the entire interior - seats, floors, headrest - done professionally - spent over $5,000 - done to factory specs. The previous, and original owner had it for over 60 years. He was an airplane mechanic, and was absolutely meticulous in taking care of it.
* All original drivetrain - inline 6, 3 speed column shift
* All original body, AND PAINT - When waxed the paint really shines. Has a couple of minor dents, and some paint blemishes.
Suicide doors and a back seat you could live in
This is a great 10 footer, and would be so easy to finish. I was going to keep it all original, get the wood inlays done for the dash, etc. etc. but, as we've all been in that spot, I'm never going to finish it. This will be an awesome project for someone younger than me, or anyone with more energy than I have. Keep it original, or slam it to your heart's content.
This is a VERY rare car. But with all original panels, and interchangeable Chrysler parts for others of this vintage, it's a no-brainer. If I could keep it I would, but I am out of space for my toys. If you are interested please reply with an email, or send me a text and I will make an appointment to show it.
