Vehicle Description
For Sale Only: 1941 GMC 1.5 ton Truck Series CC302
$11,500 or best reasonable offer. No Trades
I have for Sale Only a 1941 GMC 1.5 ton truck. This truck is running and driving with no issues. The engine is the original GMC 248Cubic in straight six cylinder motor. It was originally a forestry wild land fire truck from California with data plates and engine water pump plates. Listed are the updates and changes or included items with the truck. I do not have any of the original fire service equipment with the exception of the 6-volt siren.
Transmission was changed from the original 3 speed non- synchronized (working when pulled) to a 1949 Chevrolet 4-Speed Synchronized (1949, 6400 Chevrolet Series truck). I have the original transmission and bell housing for the truck as well. The clutch pressure plate was relined and the flywheel faced with new throw out bearing. Driveshaft was shortened; balanced and new universal joints were added.
New wiring harness was installed as well as conversion to 12V battery and 12V alternator.
Brakes shoes, brake lines, and all associated brake parts have been restored or replaced with new reproduction parts or as needed.
Wheels were sandblasted and painted. Front tire tread is good and rear duals have good tread and show some dry cracks but have new tubes and hold air.
Custom built flatbed and removable stake-body sides. The original 9ft express bed and dually fenders are included with truck.
Tie rod ends and kingpins were replaced and realigned.
The instrument panel and gauges has been restored with NOS parts and reproduction parts. Large truck mirror mount and reproduction mirror, glove box, and spotlight were added as well.
Truck will be sold with Georgia Bill of Sale and a copy of the Current Registration Slip.
Truck does not have a Title as this is not required on older GA vehicles.
