Vehicle Description
1951 Packard Model 200 Deluxe Touring Sedan. 327 cubic inch, 135 HP, in-line “straight eight” motor. Has the Packard Ultramatic (fluid & direct drive combination) automatic transmission. Engine and transmission operate very smoothly. 98K original miles. Factory original radio, spot lamp/mirror combination, and spare tire. Original “porcelainized” factory black paint. Interior in fantastic condition. Has been shown and driven in several car shows. Won 2015 “Most Authentic Vintage” award in the annual Camas, WA car show.
Car originally purchased new in Oregon City, Oregon, December 1951, at the Weller Motor Company. We are the third owners of this vehicle. Has been garage kept all the years we’ve owned it. In 1951, the Society of Motion Picture Directors named the Packard Model 200 series cars “the most beautiful car of the year” and was cast in several motion pictures at that time.
This car runs and drives beautifully. It could benefit from a brake service/adjustment and new shocks. Some limited minor cosmetic surface rust exists, which has been treated, but nothing structurally compromising. While not perfect, this car is in beautiful original condition, and will bring great enjoyment to any ‘50s era car enthusiast.
