Used 1951 PONTIAC TIN WOODIE for sale in Newbury Park, CA

Hard to find and very desirable, this ’51 Pontiac Tin Woodie is ready for restoration, hot rodding or just updating. When parked it ran and drove, even the radio, an old AM tube model worked. This car has a 268 cubic inch straight 8 that can cruise at an easy 65 – 70, no Ford flathead here. The 3 speed manual needs work; it may have a damaged main shaft.
The body is pretty straight; however both rear fenders have some damage. The body, and its lovely patina, is protected by a light coating of surface rust. A little work with some 150 grit, or a pad (which I did where the patina shows), and you can see what lies beneath. The floors are good and the only real rust problem I’ve found is in the inside of the tailgate.
All the trim is there, including the waterfall on the hood, which is in very nice shape, as it the Chief. It even has the visor prism light finder and fog lights. A sun visor and fender skirts finish the look.
