Vehicle Description
I'm selling this 1952 Ford F1 Pickup Truck that is a fresh restoration. I cannot overstate the level of quality and considerable expense that went into this build for its merits. Owner has a 2nd home in TN where truck is located.
This started as a solid rust-free truck for a purist-type frame-up rotisserie build with mostly new parts for a literal-new truck with a few upgrades mostly for safety or convenience. Upgraded to 12-volt system.
This has a rebuilt 239 Flathead V8, with approximately 400 miles on it since completed. The manual 3 speed transmission (on column) has been rebuilt. Rear end has been rebuilt with higher gearing for normal highway speeds.
To the extent possible, all the parts are original to this truck-not just aftermarket slap-on parts. For example the existing door handles and radio were re-chromed to keep this as close to original as possible.
Of course all belts & hoses and wiring are all new.
The color is 2-stage base/clear Cobalt Blue that is a mile deep. The paint is LITERALLY perfect. there are no imperfections, scratches, gouges from trim etc. Considerable care went into making this truck arrow straight.
This is a frame off build from top to bottom.
All brightwork/chrome & trim are perfect on this truck. Even the rare hood "trident" spear for a V8 has been carefully restored to like new. Very hard to find part.
All mechanicals are new-New brakes, new brake hardware, new brake lines etc.
Original radiator was recored to new quality.
All suspension components are new or otherwise restored/current.
Panel alignment is excellent throughout. I will note the new door weatherstrip(s) are sufficiently thick for sound insulation that they pucker the doors slightly at the rear edge. These could still be further aligned at the striker if the owner wanted any different adjusment.
All the glass, seals, weatherstrips, and welting are all new on this truck.
Tires are new.
The interior is finished as nicely as the exterior as is the underside.
The cardboard OE-style headliner has been replaced with a fitted/insulated headliner offering a better look and quieter ride. The interior is new with no signs of wear or damage. This truck does have its original restored heater that works as it should. Even the steering wheel center horn works correctly (not "bypassed" with an accessory horn switch like so many others). An "Ah-ooga"-type horn was added in lieu of the original horn. Turn signals were added.
The original radio and knobs were professionally restored/rechromed and upgraded by R&B Vintage Radio for bluetooth for hands-free communication-No "plastic parts" were used.
Steering Wheel was restored.
New fuel tank and fuel lines.
Exhaust is new.
Bed is high gloss high quality Red Oak with stainless trim.
The step trim on each running board is stainless steel to protect the step area on running board to keep the paint like new.
The rear tailgate has chromed INSIDE early latches. The tailgate "chains" have been added for looks and can be seamlessly removed if preferred.
In the last week the owner took the liberty of filling the "gap" that exists between rear of fenders and rocker area for a nicer quality finished look. VERY well done and reliable truck.
There is just over $80k vested in this truck that the owner doesn't expect to get back. Priced at $64,500, I would argue you could not find a higher quality restoration for details for less. No trades please.
Located in Columbia, TN-please call Chris for inspection/purchase.
