Vehicle Description
1952 Ford F1
Please look at this high end freshly restored 1952 Ford F1.
Unlike some restored examples, everything on THIS truck is literally NEW in all respects and as close to bone-stock original as one can hope for with a few upgrades that make it more enjoyable for today's driving climate. This is a "best of everything" restoration for the buyer who wants a turn-key near-perfect truck NOW with no waiting. It's not cheap for the reasons I will outline below, but I think you'll agree it can't be built to this level TODAY for the price. I'd be the first to say the "perfect" truck doesn't exist, but the goal for this truck was truly perfection and I'm content to let the buyer make that decision. I invite the most discerning buyers or inspectors to see it for its numbers-matching merits.
OPTIONS: 239 Flathead V8, Manual 3 speed on the column, AM radio and a heater.
EXTERIOR: This is a frame off rotisserie restored solid truck from the start. This truck is all steel with no rust or collision anywhere. In fact, there isn't even so much as a stone chip on this beautifully maintained Cobalt Blue 2-stage base/clear finish. The paint is striking, straight, and a mile deep in quality for its merits. All trim/welting has been removed for a concours quality show finish. All 4 wheel covers are new.
The panel alignment is excellent throughout with the only exception being the rear edge of the door fitment at the cab due to new Steele Rubber Products thick new weatherstrips. This can still be adjusted slightly by the new owner if that alignment is critical. Generally speaking the alignment concern disappears into the "gap" with the black weatherstrip (see photos).
All the chrome is complete, original parts that were re-chromed including the Trident hood spear for V8 trucks that are increasingly hard to find in good condition. All the glass is new, undamaged, with new weather seals for all.
This F1 has the larger back-glass for enhanced greenhouse visibility.
I should note the undercarriage of this truck looks as good as the exterior with all new parts.
Note the early tailgate latch (inside) that has been re-chromed as original. The tailgate "chains" are there mostly for effect and removable if preferred.
4 new radial tires all around.
Stainless steel polished step plates have been added to protect the running boards.
As you look over the paint quality, note that the paint has been carefully protected from any damage from any moulding or trim installed.
The original door handles were re-chromed and re-installed. Doors fit snug and close solidly.
All the exterior chrome has been professionally re-plated to show quality chrome with no exceptions. Literally no damage to any trim anywhere on this truck.
INTERIOR: 2-tone gray vinyl bench seat interior. New Gray 3M sound- deadened carpet with no evidence of soiling or wear.
The typical cardboard-style headliner has been professionally replaced with a fitted cloth headliner that matches the rest of the interior. The interior offers a quieter ride than most. The AM radio is a stock original radio that has had its case and knobs re-chromed (no plastic anything on THIS radio). R&B radio has fitted the original radio with blue-tooth technology for convenient hands-free communication.
The steering wheel is perfect. The horn works as it should. Most trucks have an accessory switch to bypass the original horn button, but this has been professionally disassembled & rebuilt and works as it should.
Heater is rebuilt/restored and works correctly.
All instruments are bright/clear and have been restored and re-installed and work as they should.
Turn signals were added.
An "Ah-ooo-ga" horn is just the right sound for this neat old truck.
Vacuum wipers work as they should.
3 speed shifter shifts effortlessly thru all gears.
The door trim inserts and center bench seat aspect has been personalized with the words "Pleasant Point". This of course would be easy for the new owner to modify if desired.
All the INTERIOR painted surfaces were painted to the same show quality as the exterior.
MECHANICAL: The 239 Flathead V8 has been professionally rebuilt with approximately 400+/- miles on it since completed. Upgraded to 12-volt system. The 3 speed transmission has been rebuilt and shifts easily thru all gears. The rear end has been upgraded to higher gearing to allow comfortable speeds to 60-65mph.
All the brakes, brake lines, & hardware are all new.
The exhaust is 100% new.
I would not hesitate to drive this truck anywhere.
Fuel tank is new.
Original Radiator is re-cored to new.
Please look over this fresh built "new" Ford 51. The truck is located in TN (owner has a 2nd home).
I realize this is a lot of information to digest, but it's important to note this isn't your "usual" restoration. The goal was to use or otherwise restore all this truck's original parts to return it to like new condition with a few convenience upgrades. Truck includes its lien-free title.
Located in Columbia, TN. No trades please.
Buyer must sign a car-club buyer agreement with the customary "As-is/where-is" language.
Trucks restored to this level rarely present outside of the usual big-block auction sites, but the owner wants a buyer who will love it to own it. I suspect the first person who sees this truck personally will buy it so if you're interested-or know someone who is-please call soon. $69,500
