Vehicle Description
Wooooweee! She cleaned up well. FOR SALE 1956 Ford Thunderbird soft-top. $35,000 OBO.
Its original Color was Fiesta Red but was repainted with a darker red (year unknown). The engine is the original 292 CID Y-block and is correct for a car like this equipped with a manual transmission. The carburetor is the original Holley model 4000 4 barrel. The manual transmission is the original 3-speed floor shift and is not equipped with Overdrive.
Standard 4-wheel drum brakes. Fold-away soft-top only. An accessory air conditioner has been added. The car has a factory-installed “Town and Country” station seeking AM radio.
Recent repairs include a new fuel tank and fuel level sensor, new rear leaf springs, and reconditioned brake hydraulics including wheel cylinders and master cylinder with Dot 5 silicone brake fluid installed in the system. New all-aluminum radiator and new heater core. New suspension bushings throughout.
