Vehicle Description
Up for sale is a 1957 Chevy 3200 pickup. It has been completely gone through mechanically and was built to be a reliable daily drivable truck. We saved this truck - we pulled it out of the dirt on a farm in east texas where it had been sitting for 25 years - the truck was originally from Nevada. It has original paint and has never been wrecked.
Drivetrain:
-Rebuilt 5.3 Iron Block LS with 4.8 Flat top pistons (Increased compression), Howards cam, LS7 lifters, ARP head bolts, new water pump, new starter, new alternator, all new sensors/bearings/gaskets, edelbrock aluminum intake, quick fuel 750 carb, MSD ignition box - motor should be making between 410-430hp. Sounds TOUGH!
-Built 4l60E - built to handle 550hp - controlled by a MSD transmission controller - has a handheld display that allows you to fully customize shift points, transmission lockup, etc.
-Ford 8.8 rear end - disk brakes, 3.73 gears, limited slip
-Mustang II front suspension swap with weld in cross member, manual rack, independent suspension and disk brakes
-Custom driveshaft
-Nitto 275 radials in the rear with steel wheels all around
-New fuel tank, holley pump, and lines
Interior:
-Fully painted floorboards
-Seat recovered with new foam and custom white vinyl
-All new autometer gauges
-New wood steering wheel
-New turquoise seat belts
-Lokar shifter
-New rearview mirror, dome light, and sunvisor
The bed has been redone with old growth 2x6s with a custom steel bedframe
This truck was built by me for a good friend of mine. He has 2 young kids and this hasn't been that practical for his family so he bought a 1969 suburban instead. He doesn't have to sell it, but would sell it for the right money - to the right buyer. This truck was built with simplicity and reliability in mind. It has been finished for almost 2 years and has less than 1500 miles on the entire build.
Everything on the truck works with the exception of the windshield wipers (never messed with them since this truck never sees rain)
We are asking $28K for the truck but will consider reasonable offers
