Vehicle Description
Here is your chance to own a true American classic! This 1957 Ford Thunderbird has been owned by the same family since NEW! The car was purchased in 1957 in San Fransisco at the Cecil Whitebone dealership and still holds the original license plate frame! The car spent some time in the Bay Area until the Simpson family moved to Claremont, CA in 1968, I have a pink slip that was issued on 5/09/1968 in hand! The car is currently registered and insured in my name after I took ownership of the car and did a small mechanical restoration.
This Thunderbird has UNDER 20,000 original miles and still holds the original white paint. The car does have a few bumps, paint fade and scrapes but overall its an amazing condition for being original! It is almost impossible to find one this original in this nice of a condition.
As you can see from the pictures I have the factory hard top, the convertible top that sits behind the seat, and the roadster interior tonneau cover.
The truck still holds lots of treasures! I have a 1957 thunderbird handbook, the factory bumper jack, spare tire, the ford tap-o-can, jc Higgins water bag, McKay tire chains, a spare ford fan belt, road flare, tire iron, and a few spare parts.
I installed brand new American Classic 750R14 white wall tires on the car. I installed a brand new radiator and radiator hoses, I added Pertronix to eliminate the points, installed a new coil but still have the factory coil in the trunk, I installed a new fuel pump, a new Holley carburetor, new water pump, new heater hoses, new carpet kit, new tachometer cable, new engine belts, new air filter, new valve cover gaskets, and new fuel sending unit with float.
I added a picture with the valve covers off so you could see the lack of sludge and build up inside the engine.
The engine is the factory option 312 CID.
Bore and stroke 3.80 x 3.44in
Compression ratio is 9.7:1
245HP @ 4500rpm
332lbs-ft @3200rpm
Carburator Holley 4v
Transmission is a Fordomatic with 3.70 rear gear
Paint code is Colonial White
Interior code is Pleated Raven Vinyl & Pleated Colonial Vinyl
If you have any question please don't hesitate to ask. The price is $30,000 or best offer. Lowball offers will not receive an email back so don’t waste your time or mine.
