1959 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite running, driving, registered unfinished project ready to complete and personalize. (Though built in 1959, it was first sold in 1960). It is powered by a Mazda 12 A Rotary engine with a Weber 450 Carburetor and a custom free flow exhaust system. The rear end and 5 speed manual transmission are also manufactured by Mazda. It has approximately 200 horsepower as compared to the stock 43. This is an excellent example of a stock appearing but highly modified road race type street rocket. The body is an excellent, being dent free and rust free, and is currently finished in a white primer. An additional hole was cut in the rear deck to accommodate a second fuel tank due to the stock tank being so small. The interior is basic and functional but can be easily finished. It has a four point padded roll bar installed. The chrome and polished parts needed to complete the vehicle are included, such as headlight rings, body to interior trim and both bumpers as well as many assorted related parts such as the soft top and side windows. The suspension is custom and modified on both the front and rear of the car. The workmanship is professional with quality fasteners and a racecar like appearance. The undercarriage is finished in silver with black components and a some colored accents. The car is light, quick, fun and eye catching. It now sits at a perfect point in the build to personalize. It can be an excellent road race car and may be perfect for autocross competition but the most appropriate would be an exceptional street driven sports car.
