Ford’s retractable automobiles are the pinnacle of 50’s innovation and design. This 1959 Ford Galaxie 500 Retractable is not only the top trim, it features Ford’s significant retractable hard top – a system that created the foundation for today’s modern luxury convertibles. Restored by the legendary, late Jerry Capizzi, this Galaxie received a no-expense spared restoration to OEM specifications. This Galaxie features all the correct stampings, hang tags, and so much more. Jerry’s reputation for his passion and attention to detail are well known, resulting in one of the finest Galaxie Retractables available.

Presented in Geranium/Colonial White, this Galaxie is striking, benefiting from long-term, collector ownership in climate-control. The paintwork is crisp and the brightwork straight and sharp. The Retractable top is fully functional and has been serviced. The secret to a Capizzi restoration is the attention to detail and utilization of NOS OEM components. From the optional Flying Elipse Ornament, Spot Lamp Mirrors, and to the Sunray Multi-Colored Wheel Caps, this Galaxie has it all.
