For sale is a Dio Tipo 61 (Ambro) body. The fiberglass body was removed from a 1959 Triumph TR3 race car (built, but never raced).
These cars have a great racing history. The Tipo body was first created in-part from a 1961 Maserati Tipo 61. The body is in great shape and it can be made to fit virtually any small convertible or tube frame chassis (i.e., a Triumph TR3, TR4, Datsun 1600, MG, MGB, Miata, VW, Porsche, 300zx, Eclipse, or Pontiac Solstice).
The Dio T61 body is still made by diocars.com and it sells for $6500. This is your chance to own a piece of racing history at a fraction of the price. The body comes with the front and rear clip as well as 6 additional side and door pieces (pictured-in white gelcoat). The other pictures are of completed cars. *Note: For serious racers, autocross, and SCCA members, diocars.com also sells the plans to build the tube frame pictured.
