Vehicle Description
Here is a 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 2 door coupe with original FE V8 big block with the cruise o matic automatic transmission. For the most part this car has been sitting in storage for awhile. It has a good Indiana title. I bought the car and I did a tune up on it. Plugs, cap, wires, rotor, points and a fuel pump. I did not want to take a chance of pumping any old gas or dirt from the tank into the carb and engine. So I just ran it off of a small gas can zip tied under the hood. Brakes work, but I think they could use a gone thru. I highly suggest dropping the tank and cleaning it out before running from the tank. The engine sounds good. I think the carb could use a rebuild. Paint is not original and I would say is a good 50 foot paint job (which means it looks great from 50' away or 50 mph driving by). Interior all looks original and I guess looks pretty decent for its age. Overall the body is straight. Trunk floor is good. Right in the very back on each side from where the trunk floor and the back tail light panel meets it is rusted out there. Enough you can stick maybe half your hand thru the hole on each side. Also right under the battery tray, core support area inner fender area is rusted out there. Motor all looks original and looks like it has not been took apart. The car still has bias ply tires on it. They are cracked out and old. Frame looks good on the car. This is not a perfect car, but it is running driving project that you can work on and enjoy at the same time. For sale for $5000 CASH. Not interested in trades, already have more stuff then I need at the moment.
