Vehicle Description
1963 Chevy Impala
We got this car in Kentucky quite a few years ago. It had no engine, transmission or interior. It did have the SS dash cluster and SS plates under light/ wiper/ ignition switch area, but I don’t think this is a SS. I tried to paint it but it didn’t turn out good, so I sanded it back down. It will need a paint job. From the original holes in the floorboard, I believe it had a bench seat. I added bucket seats and console. I installed an aftermarket dash radio. I installed a 348 engine, runs good but has some blow by and the oil pressure should be higher I think. I put a 5 speed from an S-10 in it for the extra cruising gear. The bearings are noisy but works okay. It has all new ball joints, coil springs, all bushings in control arms front and rear are new. The front/rear stabilizer bushings are new. The power steering ram is new. The control valve does have a leak. It has rally wheels all around with new tires. I noticed the odometer looks odd, like maybe someone tried to roll it back. It did have a small amount of rust but overall in very good shape. I took a shot of the trunk underneath, it’s in very good shape, notice someone has knocked a hole in it so water wouldn’t collect and rust it out. I’ve collected some of the trim through the years, definitely not complete. It has new carpet. Please see pictures. If interested, please ask all questions.
