Vehicle Description
1965 Rambler Classic 550
Straight 6 engine
3 on the tree manual trans
Clean title
The car is in overall pretty good condition, and would make a great winter project for someone to button up and have ready to cruise in spring!
Starting with the positives:
-Runs, new long block about 10 yrs ago
-Paint is in workable shape, needs a good buffing
-Car has minimal rust on body, only problem area is right rear quarter
-Complete, no missing pieces. All trim is there inside and out, including rare parts like the R logo horn button and spinner hub caps
-Interior is in great shape, dash is nice and unmolested, beautiful original door panels and headliner.
-Original Rambler folding bed seats. If you are unfamiliar with this feature, check it out on Google, it's really cool.
-Floors have been patched beautifully on the drivers side
The negatives:
-Will need a bit of TLC before it is drivable. Rear brake line was nicked during floor pan job, so no rear brakes, but the fronts are solid.
-Needs passenger side floor pans, both front and rear
-Tires are old
-Tears in seat on driver side front, like is typical on any old car
-Exhaust has a few holes in it, but is all there
-Could use a good simple tune-up, but otherwise runs pretty well
Overall it's a decent project car for someone looking to tinker on an inexpensive classic 60's ride. I would bring a trailer because it needs a few odds and ends buttoned up before it is roadworthy.
Feel free to ask any questions. Call, text, whatever you prefer. $3700 cash, o.b.o. Open to trades, what do you have?
Thanks,
Mike
