Affordable 60's Galaxie from the south. Older restoration done in the mid 90's. Automatic transmission mated with a 289 Ford V8. A cool looking sedan with modest flames and a really sharp interior. Power steering but standard brakes. Drives really nice.
The engine has plenty of get up and go. Odometer reads 39k and the car feels like it, but I can't warrant miles are original. Stock carb replaced with a new Edelbrock 1406. Glass is good, tires are good. Lights work. Wipers work. Grille and bumpers in really nice shape. Exhaust sound nice and mellow. Check out the pics, sharp little 4 door! Look how clean the underside is!
Negatives: Radio does not work, gas gauge does not work, the transmission began slipping - so has not been driven since spring 2018, freeze plug(s) may have popped this past winter. I have been told none of these issues are a big deal, nor expensive to fix. However, I am on a very fixed income and all mechanics I've talked to only deal with cash. Also, I am "mechanically challenged," So I must let go of my baby to someone who has the knowledge and wherewithal to get her back on the road and enjoy the smooth ride and turned heads! This vehicle currently does not run - it will need to be towed or hauled.
