Vehicle Description
1965 Mustang Convertible
Built at the Ford Milpitas California Plant in August 1964. Solid California Mustang for sale.
Ivy Green with black interior, black top.
I have owned this Mustang since 1982 and have grown up with the car and have a unique bond. The previous owner painted her candy apple red and I had her taken back to her original color – Ivy Green.
This Mustang is a treasure. I am only selling because I am relocating and will not need a car any longer.
She is a daily driver with a ton of potential and more. I hope to sell to a family who has an incredible son or daughter who has the passion for the older cars. Yes, the horn and turn indicators and door locks and windows still work!
What I like most about this car is that I can drive and park her anywhere. The body and paint are not perfect but in this condition it allows me to park anywhere without worry of the inconsiderate people opening their doors too hard.
I am selling her for a very reasonable price of $17,500.00 or best offer.
When or if you decide to take her to the next level ($20K restoration) you can easily sell for $39K to $59K.
I have maintained her through the years with the following work performed:
• Black convertible top – canvas with glass window 2012
• Disk brakes – front
• Rear brakes – drums
• Engine 289
• Transmission C4
• Electronic ignition
• Center arm rest
• Power brakes
• Exhaust dual
• 3 core radiator
• Water pump
• Carburetor rebuild
• Fuel tank with sending unit
• Front end alignment
• Window roller kits
• New brake fluid lines
• New fuel lines
What she needs now:
• Seat and carpet kit
• Tires – they are from 2012
• A good Mustang mechanic to dial in the suspension and refine alignment
• Maybe a good body prep and paint to make her more presentable but I guarantee you someone is going to ruin it with door dings
• AC compressor and dryer
• A young driver with a great attitude and who wants to enjoy the open air – don’t forget your sunscreen!
