Vehicle Description
A rare find! Estate sale!
This was our dad’s car. He had it for about 20+ years and it was his favorite hobby. He was a doctor and in his spare time with extra money he was always having features upgraded. We aren’t mechanically inclined so we are selling this baby. She sometimes doesn’t start up right away & occasionally will die when you stop the car. That could be just because we’ve only driven her a few times in the last few years since he passed, because we picked her up from our dad’s mechanic who had just finished everything. Less than 300 miles on the new engine. Very clean (just detailed) and from a non-smoker. This American collector’s car with a tough sounding engine is ideal for someone who can get her running perfectly.

Carburetor is an edelbrock 850 CFM
It has an electric fuel pump
New valve springs
Roller rockers
Flat tappet hydraulic cam shaft from competition cams it was the biggest of five available for purchase
400 transmission
Overdrive unit added
Bottom end is completely rebuilt it has a reconditioned crankshaft, a reconditioned rod, new pistons and a new timing chain
The block has been bored with a 30 over motor
He finished rebuilding the engine in December 2018 (our dad passed in 2016 and he kept working on it in his free time). We have only driven it about four times, each on a short local drive, so I would say the engine has 100-200 miles on it, at most.
He said the intermittent dying is probably because the carburetor needs adjusting. He said it is probably too rich in the moisture here and in addition we just aren’t used to an electric fuel injection car or hot rod motors, so we probably just don’t know how to drive it correctly.
Can provide more pics of motor (during rebuild process) upon request.
