Vehicle Description
For sale is a recently acquired Triumph GT6 that I've got to (sadly) sell due to lack of space and time to commit to the project. I purchased the car a few months ago thinking 'I can make time and space for that' and as it turns out...I unfortunately have neither. I haven't had much of a chance to really dig into the car yet but can honestly say it is easily one of the cleanest, most rust-free examples of a Triumph (of any variety) that I've ever seen. A brief description is as follows;
* The suspension has been gone through by the previous owner and is in great shape both front and back. All suspension components are 'like new' in the sense that they have never been driven on but are all new to the car in the last 5 years. Tires are in great shape and still road worthy (not rotted or cracked, still 'soft').
* The engine looks great but I haven't turned it over or had it running yet. The previous owner kept it well lubricated the entire time he owned it.
* Fuel lines should (in my opinion) be given a thorough going through and filters need to be replaced (cheap fix)
* Does not have a battery hooked up at present time
* Per the photos - the interior is in pieces but overall good shape.
* LOTS of extra bits and bobs included (currently in the back of the car)
* As can be seen in the photos, the car was given flared fenders at some point in the past but I know not when they were put on the car. I would describe the work as well done and don't see any rust/cracking around any of the fenders. (personally I quite like the look they give the car)
* All windows in place and undamaged (drivers side window not properly aligned - I leave it down when the door is closed)
* Some surface rust under the floor boards on both driver and passenger side - not bad by any means
* The bottom half of the front fender is not included in the sale as I have never had it
* Car has ~78,000 miles on it but the engine has less than 2,000 according to previous owner.
* Has been garage kept for the past 20+ years
* To the best of my knowledge this is a MK1 despite the GT6+ (MKII) badging on the back of the car
Please feel free to contact via email if you would like to know more about the car and/or come see it. About the only thing I've had time to do is clean the car (so it's currently not quite as dirty as the photos show). Car currently located in Scotts, MI
I really hate to have to let it go as it is a beautiful car. Clean MI title in my name
Asking $5,500 and open to reasonable offers
