Vehicle Description
Rotisserie restored fully upgraded 1969 Camaro Z28. X33 code, Non RS, car with date Matching 12 Bolt
I do not have the original drivetrain, or a certification from McNiesh that this is a "real Z"
This CA original no rust car has gone through a documented restoration and build from a solid no-rust "roller" and retains the stock appearance with modern upgrades to make it a very nice Daily Driver. The car is originally from Pasadena, CA and Great pains were taken to make the car look period correct, sound right yet feel like a modern car with all the reliability of an LS swap ProTour. The build is documented on camaros.net under "jethros burnished brown Z28". The feel of this car is amazing as it has very comfy and sporty Honda seats disguised in custom White 1969 Camaro Vinyl. SpeedHutt Digital (analog face) GPS Speedo, Tach with built in shift lights, and engine gauges give you the goods. The interior is otherwise stock 1969 standard white vinyl recently redone with a kit from Classic industries in Huntington Beach. Every nut and bolt has been touched (most upgraded to stainless) on this car. It's a joy to drive and with this rare burnished brown exterior, white Z stripes and white interior - the looks and comments are overwhelming. If you want to make this a more savage ProTouring car, just add a set of new wheels with some larger tires and you're done – the car is built for the upgrade. The LS power in this car is a handful when you get into it, so there’s Wilwood discs at all 4’s to keep you honest. This car is really special and it needs to be driven.
Here's some more details on the 1969 Z28 build:DriveTrain:
475hp LS1 engine: Stock bottom end with Texas Speed 228 cam and Texas Speed PRI 2.5 heads, Holley LS Swap Oil Pan
Stainless Headers, dual exhaust all the way out the back
All new 2002 F-body/Camaro LS1 engine accessories: Power steering, water pump, alternator, AC compressor etc. Transmission is a 6-speed Manual: Brand New “T56 Magnum” (warranty to 700hp),
Centerforce hydraulic clutch and clutch plate
Suspension: Date Matching 12 bolt, rebuilt with 373's and TrueTrac mechanical locker
RideTech 4-Link rear suspension and RideTech coil overs
Wilwood Master, vacuum booster and 4-wheel disc brakes with parking brake.
Custom stainless brake lines
Global West upper/Lower A-Arms (stock subframe/powdercoated) With Eibach lower springs and Bilsteins out front
Electrical and Plumbing:Tanks inc. baffled Fuel Injection gas tank with "in tank" Walbro 255 fuel pump.
All plumbing is Earls fittings, braid and -6 aluminum hard lineAll engine plumbing, AC etc. is brand new and custom to accommodate the LS swap
Wiring is an under dash mounted modern fuse kit from American Auto Wire. I have full diagram and wiring schematics on all of the electronics included in the build binder that goes with this car
Customization include: Power Mirrors, Power windows, Vintage Air/AC/Heat, SpeedHutt Gauges, Kenwood double din console mounted stereo, back up camera, amp, sub woofer, 6 cabin speakers, DSE RS actuator kit and more.
This is a Non RS car, but during the restoration I added RS front fenders and grill (with DSE RS headlamp actuator kit). The car is wired for RS back up lights but I will not cut it. If you want to add RS backup lights: the wiring awaits. There is debate around "X33" cars being RS vs Z28, therefore I left the stock (non-RS) tail pan un-cut for that reason. Thank you for looking and call me anytime. I will not respond to texts and/or emails.
Cheers, JethroThirteen
