Vehicle Description
This 1969 Mercury Cougar is one to remember! Finished in a beautiful Billet Silver Metallic with some custom touches, youll be the envy of every car show! Providing power is a 351 cubic inch Windsor, putting nearly 350 horsepower down on a recent dyno run. Mated to that motor is a Road Ripper 2000 A utomatic Overdrive Transmission(from Certified Transmission) ready to deliver smooth shifts. Helping make that power is a set of roller rockers, a more aggressive cam, and pushrods from JEGS, along with the motor being bored .020 over. Other upgrades include: a high torque starter, high flow water pump, electric tachometer, 100-amp one wire alternator, 4 row aluminum radiator, complete Holley Sniper EFI kit with a hyperspark ignition box, coils, distributor, in tank fuel pump, and a Vintage Air A/C System. Mustang II front suspension and power steering rack helps keeps this Cougar on the road. The brake booster/master cylinder was recently replaced and utilizes four wheel disc brakes( 11 cross-drilled and slotted rotors). The headlights are now electric, gone are the old vacuum pop-ups.Many other upgrades and updates were done on this Mercury, virtually every component has been improved. The current owner obtained this Cougar from a specialty shop in Benicia, California over 13 years ago.
