Vehicle Description
There is no shortage of great rust-free 70's era trucks in the south. What separates some of the best is how they are restored or outfitted. This is a 2nd offering of a show-truck from a private Spring Hill collector being offered as part of a downsizing effort. Except for the space that a large collection occupies, there is nothing wrong with this truck.
If you're unfamiliar with high end show trucks please take some time to study this one.
This is a '70 Chev C10 fleetside 2WD truck with very desirable upgrades, including but not limited to a '67 Chev Truck "smoothie" front clip. All the excess trim and side markers have been removed consistent with other Ca Custom "smoothie" restorations.
This truck is straight, solid and despite its exceptional build quality, is a true driver. I cannot say enough about how nice the roar of the engine is and how well it drives and the power behind it.
EXTERIOR: The Exterior is a PPG custom solid DEEP orange 2-stage base/clear. The panel alignment is exceptional as expected. Except for very minor blemishes for a truck that is driven and enjoyed, the paint is otherwise show-quality nice. Bumpers have been show-chromed. Headlights are halogen lamps. Grille, Glass fitment and any exterior features are all fitted nice & clean to the panels. The Exterior short bed has been sprayed with bed liner in complimentary black. You'll note in the photos the racing-style aluminum fuel door has been relocated to the rear bed floor in keeping with the smoothie qualities. No slider window. Backglass is tinted.
Wheels are Billet Aluminum 20" wheels. Tires are low-profile tires with minor wear.
INTERIOR: As you open the doors, you're immediately struck by the contrast of the Black & Orange Houds-tooth bucket seats and black console with black carpet. There is a black vinyl headliner. Dash paint matches exterior. Classic Instruments are VELOCITY model, odometer showing 2836 miles since restoration completed.
Custom Steering Wheel, Alloy Show Pedals, Upgraded blue-tooth capable Stereo. Truck has black shoulder harness-type seat belts. Manual Windows (the driver window crank is present, but off for missing C-clip that popped off.
Truck has seamlessly installed Vintage Air (that needs a charge). Upgraded 134a freon.
MECHANICAL: Big Block Skip White 406 Motor with a dart block. Engine is 500hp and 520 foot-pounds of torque. PTC built 700R Automatic Transmission. Column shifts flawlessly thru all detents. Be-Kool Radiator.
MSD ignition. Upgraded Baer Power 4 wheel disc brakes. Porterbuilt Tubular Frt End. Truck starts easily on the turn of the key----literal turn-key truck. Power Steering. Alloy valve covers. Engine bay is as nice inside as the truck is outside with all the right bling. Undercarriage is upgraded and freshly restored and looks as nice on the underside as it does on the truck looks on the outside.
Generally trucks of this caliber cross the stage at big-block auctions. It's not cheap, but its being sold for less than the owner has in it. Can't be replaced/rebuilt for the asking price.
I'm betting the first person who sees this truck in person will buy it. It's THAT nice.
Asking $49,900 obo-------No trades.
The owner has an equally impressive '67 C10 truck with 6-litre, 4th Gen Engine & 6 speed automatic transmission for $52,500k. See the CL ad in this section.
