This Jeep project is now done and I have no room in the driveway or garage. All you need to do is connect the speedo and go and then change out the break-in oil after 1000 miles. It has a freshly rebuilt 153 CID 2.5L 4 cylinder engine and 5 speed Borg-Warner Tremec T-5 high torque manual transmission. This was one of the few years that the USPS used the famous Super Thrift motor (reliably used for decades in Chevy II Novas, heavy equipment, boats and more) and used "real" Jeep grills, not the pufffed out cartoon ones.
Here are some things you normally don't expect to work in a 50 year old Jeep, but they do: Heater, blower, dual fuel tanks, back-up light, wipers, windshield washer and more. Runs great. Ready for economical daily driver commuting, hunting, hitting the beach or anything FUN.
Before I bought this project, the last owner converted it to left hand drive to prep for 4wd and did some amazing body work magic to trade the sliding doors for real doors. Has Trail Cat all season tires. Includes transfer case and transmission to finish the conversion, tow bar and a folding rear seat. Rear hatch easily removes for nice weather.
This is not a coast Jeep. I brought it from Central Oregon when I moved in June. VERY CLEAN. Cash only. Firm on price.
