Vehicle Description
1971 GMC Sprint 38,173 Original Miles
I purchased from the original owners estate in California. She ordered it new. I have the order sheet and build sheet.
L48 350ci 4 bbl, 3 speed manel transmission floor shifted, 12 Bolt 3.31 open differential, Power steering, Tach and gauge package, Electric clock (works) see build sheet for other options. Would make a good SP clone candidate.
Car has 38k original miles. Was parked and covered in the mid 90's due to a problem with the transmission. Turns out it was just an adjustment to the reverse lock out linkages. Car has had one repaint in the early 90's due to an accident. Tailgate was replaced, original bumper straightened and some minor work to the right rear quarter panel. Some rust repair was done to the typical places. Paint is showing its age but still good. Rust in front lower fenders shows again. Paint peeling in various areas.
Runs and drives great. I removed the fuel tank and replaced the sending unit and all rubber fuel lines. New fuel pump, Rebuilt carburetor. Intake manifold gasket was changed(had a vacuum leak). New valve cover gaskets, wires, plugs, cap, rotor, point set and condenser. New water pump, thermostat, hoses, fan belts and radiator. New master cylinder and front wheel cylinders, All new shocks.
$15,500 or Trades considered.
