Vehicle Description
I have for sale a 1972 Monte Carlo. car is a true Texas car built at Arlington TX GM plant. Original interior except headliner. that was replaced because of heat sagging when I bought the car.
The Engine is 350 cubic inch. Has 12 thousandths piston to deck height. stock bore and stroke. Aluminum flat top pistons with 4 8cc valve reliefs in each.
Has Comp cam extreme 268 H cam and lifters. A Clyde single roller timing chain. A set of 1969 186 Heads off a Z28 engine that was blown.
Heads are ported with 53cc combustion chambers. 39 thousandths crush Fel Pro Metal head gaskets with copper cylinder rings It has MSD Street fire high energy ignition and Distributor. Intake is an Edelbrock Performer with 600 CFM carb, ceramic long tube headers. heavy duty Melling oil pump Engine never dynoed. Computer HP calculator estimates 345-360 RBHP. As the pictures show the engine is chromed out. Temperature never goes over 185. oil pressure on start is around 60-70 psi and around 30-40 warm engine PSI. Rear end is Eaton clutch type Posi Traction with Richmond 373 gears and Moser axles and bearing kit. Trany is TH 350 with a stock converter. I Have original A/C compressor and mounting brackets and hoses, but condenser and dryer are both shot. Has new hood hinges & springs. new Battery. I use 10-40 racing oil with zinc in it. Engine has a little over 1,000 miles since rebuild. Posi unit has around 6-700 miles on since installed. Watch video. Copy & paste to browser to view video.
OK the things it needs Listed below.
Hood needs to be adjusted, drifts down slowly, Top of the driver side fender needs to be sanded some more and painted because the hood hinge collapsed and spring chipped paint on top inside edge of fender. Glove box door lock needs a new hold down clip. Brakes front disc and rear shoe type should be replaced just because of age. Speedometer gear needs resized for gearing. Passenger side inner wheel well has crack where the heater hose used to clip in. other than this stuff it just needs a little TLC. Runs super great. you can take it anywhere.
$16,500 or B/O. No Trades, Cash Only, no help needed to sell. Serious inquires only please. No offers taken over email. If you can't come look with the money you don't want to buy, so move on please. Scammers will be ignored.
