Vehicle Description
I would guess that if you are looking at this ad, you already have a pretty good idea of what this is....
This is a very nice, unmolested, mostly original 1972 LJ20V. They are very rare to to find at all, let alone in this kind of condition and low mileage. The previous owner was a body-shop owner and very respectfully addressed the areas of rust (mostly surface rust) by either neutralizing them or carefully repairing the areas. The are a few small holes in the floor under the feet but these have been neutralized and patched with fiberglass to protect the originality. It is perfect for either restoring or just leaving as is as a survivor.
For those of you not familiar....it is 4wd with a 350 cc liquid cooled two stroke engine. It is dreadfully slow with a max speed around 43 mph.
I am selling it because I really have not been driving it that much and I feel that it is time to move it to the next person who will love it.
It always starts and runs well....smokey at first until the exhaust clears itself out. It has a new water hoses, motor mounts and the radiator has been serviced. The tires are all newer and only have a few hundred miles on them.
NOTE: The temp gauge is not working so I have been reluctant to drive it very far until that gets sorted out. I assume that it is probably the thermostat (and I have a couple spares that will be included) but that will be for the new owner to figure out. Considering that it is the simplest motor in the world....should be pretty easy to figure out. I just don't have the time.
It also has a custom front bumper with a winch that has been very handy in recovering my zero turn mower when I get it stuck in the mud. LOL.
Please do not send BS lowball offers....I don't want to hear them. I will listen to legitimate offers but if you don't hear back its because you fall into the prior category.
All sales are final, vehicle is sold "AS IS" condition.....one would expect this for a 47 year old vehicle.
