Vehicle Description

Other work has included a reupholster kit on interior front bench, added roll bar. Rear side bench seats are all original and worn.
Has BFG All Terrains…
This rig is like them all, not without the rust. The infancy of this rig was out East in Ohio before heading west to California around 1980, and then lived in Bend from about 1984 to present. However the damage was done. This rig is quite solid…. But the body has not been worked on. The driver front fender was sanded and primed as a sample project nearly 20 years ago by myself as a kid…. Whoops.
My Father purchased this while in the Army and it has been the only vehicle that lasted all these years. It has the straight 6 original engine, all numbers matching, 3 speed manual transmission on the floor and 4wd high and low all perfectly functioning.
The top is removable but heavy…. Fold down windshield, side kick out vents… I think everything works on this though not modern by any means. Doors lock and unlock, windows up and down, no water leaks/damage known or witnessed, solid glass all around.
There are boxes of new and old parts, Stacks of paperwork over the years, and more things than I I can mention. It’s an awesome daily driver or perhaps one of the most ideal candidates for a full restoration project.
My only hesitation in driving this across country tomorrow is that I don’t have AAA in case something happens and that the gearing won’t allow for 80mph easily (or at all?) to keep up with today’s cars.
