1974 AMC Matador Sedan Base Model. This car is from Arizona and is rock solid rust free. 81 thousand original miles. Equipped with a small 304 V8 engine and Chrysler Torque flight automatic transmission. The Transmission was professionally rebuild in 2017. The car has air conditioning but I've never tried to get it going. Power Steering and Power Brakes. The car was apparently in a small accident where the hood was damaged. I purchased the car that way, don't know how it happened but I found a new old Stock vintage new Hood and had it installed and panted. Someone before me installed new carpets and had the seats reupholstered. The Matador from 1974 thru 1978 had a Coffin Nose style but 1974 has one year only (meat grinder) front grill. It also has the one year only style rear tail lamps making this a bit rare among Matador Sedans. Although the car has Maine license plates, it's only been registered in Maine for a few years and only driven in Summer. Maine is a no title State but the car will come with a valid Virginia Title. The engine is very smooth running and it puts out no blue smoke. It runs really nice. Brand new battery this Summer. The car was build in September of 1973. I don't know the history on the car prior to my ownership, I purchased the car from a Dealer on Ebay. I shipped it from Arizona. I won't take phone calls, emails only for an appointment to view the car. It's located in North Chesterfield. Included in the photos are two vintage photos of Matador Taxi Cabs, These cars were popular as Police Cars and Taxi cabs. This could could be the actual Taxi Cab Package from the factory? It's the right color to be a Taxi. Now the negatives. The drivers inside door handle doesn't work. Windshield Wipers don't work.
