Vehicle Description
1974 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray L-82 NUMBERS MATCHING ORIGINAL PAINT ORIGINAL INTERIOR NEVER RESTORED - ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. Purchased this 1974 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray L-82 from a private car collector in Georgia in 2007. I drove it right off his personal showroom floor, out to the highway and straight up to Virginia. What an incredible ride that was not 1 single issue or hiccup. It runs even better today than when I bought it as I have made a couple of upgrades, (see below). This is a completely original numbers matching car. The interior is absolutely beautiful and everything (including the clock) works perfectly. There is very little wear on the carpet and seats and none on the dash, doors or T-Tops. To my knowledge, this vehicle has never even been smoked in which is pretty great for a car that was purchased in 1974. Some of the original equipment: - T-Tops. - Air-Conditioning The original A/C and Heat work perfectly. - Power Steering. - Tilt Steering. - Power Brakes. - Power Windows. - Rear Chrome Luggage Rack - Original Corvette period polished aluminum wheels with disc brakes. - Original stereo is still in the dash but I had a modern stereo added to the car, (see below). - Original Power Stereo Antenna. - Original Clock works perfectly. - All original Gauges and Dials all work perfectly. A little bit about the 1974 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray: The 1974 Stingray equipped with the L-48 195 hp small-block was capable of 0-60 in 6.8 seconds; comparable to the 6.5 second time of the 1968 small-block rated at 300 hp; proof the 1972-1974 Corvette engines had ample power regardless of reduced horsepower and net (bhp) ratings. The L-82 engine remained at 250 hp and the 454 cu. in. (7.4L) LS4 dropped slightly to 270 hp. Hi-Performance Cars magazine in a L-48, L-82 and LS4 comparison test, September 1973, said: 'Our choice for the all-around best performer must go to the base 350 L-48 engine.
