Vehicle Description
1974 Jaguar XJ6-L restoration project with an automatic 700 R4 transmission and LT1 engine out of a 1995 Camaro with 60k miles that puts out 300 HP. At least $20,000 has been invested in the project so far but don't have the time or space to finish it off. The motor runs great and doesn't leak a drop. Comes with all the manuals for the V8 conversion as well. Body is straight, just has small rust hole above rear wheel well that would be an easy fix. Has new interior (seats, doors panels, etc.) It's in great shape for the year and mileage but needs to have a few things addressed to be finished. Odometer shows 33k miles currently. Below is a list of parts that have been replaced as well as recommended work to complete the project. Asking $5500 obo.
New Parts ( new = less than 5000 miles)
Radiator
Ball joints
Tie rod ends
Rack bushings
Breaks: Master cyll. Calipers, Disks, front and rear
Tires
Transmission
Shock absorbers-6
Drive shaft and U joints
Rear suspension bushings
Motor mounts
Transmission mount
Things to be addressed:
1. The transmission was fully rebuilt but could use an adjustment or spring change as it shifts early from 3rd to 4th gear. It runs and drives great as is, but this is something that should eventually addressed.
2. Child locks keep the rear doors from unlocking for some reason.
3. Right fuel tank has a leak but has been disconnected (likely drain plugs). Currently the car runs off of the left tank. It has a new fuel gauge sending unit, but it needs to get hooked to read the fuel level.
4. Right rear quarter window is plexiglass, but doesn't leak.
