I have a 1975 Corvette Stingray with a 650/700 horsepower 496 Big Block Chevy, Turbo 400 swap. This car is very fast, and very built. It is a running, driving street car, that should run mid to high tens in the quarter. It has maybe a 100 miles on the engine and transmission right now. It also comes with a ton of trick parts I have yet to install. Here is a list of what has been done so far.
Engine-Full roller 496 cubic inch big block chevy. 2 bolt main 454, bored .060 over. Block was bored, decked, align honed, new cam bearings, new freeze plugs by Park Ave Machine in Chico, Ca. It has bronze lifter bore inserts, ARP head and main studs. The bottom end has an Eagle 4.25 cast steel stroker crank, Scat H beam rods with ARP 2000 cap screw rod bolts, and Wiseco forged pistons with 20cc domes for a 10.5 to 1 compression. Balanced within 1 gram with SFI flexplate, and Pro Street balancer. Full roller valve train with a Lunati 600 lift hydraulic roller cam, Crane billet lifters, and matching pushrods, Cloyes double roller timing chain, Comp Cams roller bearing cam button. Heads are NGB "Offshore" aluminum rectangular port heads (copies of Edelbrock Victor heads). Heads are fitted with PAC/Manley double valve springs, Erson 2.30 intake, 1.88 exhaust swirl polished, backcut, undercut, stainless steel valves with a 3 angle valve job. Topped of with Comp Cams locks, retainers, and PEP roller rockers. Induction is an Edelbrock Victor rectangular port intake, and a Holley Sniper X-Flow EFI system. FAST Engineering HEI distributor, and Accel spark plug wires. Hedman Ceramic coated headers with 2 1/8 primary tubes. It has an aluminum water pump, alternator and power steering brackets, and pulleys. New chrome alternator, new power steering pump, and a new 4 core aluminum radiator. Mickey Thompson valve covers, 3/8 inch braided steel fuel lines, -6an fittings, and new regulator. A Holley intake high pressure fuel pump system completes the engine system.
A Turbo 400 transmission built with B and M, and Trans-Go parts bolted to a 2500 stall converter. 3.36 posi rearend.
Runs on 91 octane pump gas. NO SMOG REQUIRED EVER!
The car will include a full Prothane red bushing set for the entire car, front and rear suspension. There are new upper and lower ball joints, inner and outer tie rod ends, billet tie rod links, and Wilwood 6 piston billet front calipers for the front suspension, and new heavy duty control arms, and 4 piston Wilwood billet rear calipers. Full set of KYB front and rear gas shocks also. All the suspension parts are BRAND NEW, still in the boxes.
The body and paint are pretty decent, probably a 7 out of 10.
The interior is decent also. Has all new Autometer gauges in place of the factory gauges, and fitted with green LED backlighting.
Brand new Icon aluminum rims, and decent BF Goodrich tires.
A brand new Astro Tops smoked black on the outside, smoked blue on the inside one piece Race Roof. The original T-Tops are also included.
Brand new Optima Red Top Battery.
Brand new full 3 inch exhaust all the way to the rear of the car, with Magnaflow mufflers.
This is a currently registered, running and driving street car that is barely broke in with maybe a 100 miles on it, that is VERY fast. Every part is brand new. I built this car myself over the course of the last 6 months.
