Vehicle Description
Selling a 1975 VW Bus (Type 2, 1800-2000cc) with original fabric rear seats and upper bed. Fuel injected. 4cyl air cooled. Starts and I drive it but it doesn't idle and needs adjustment. Some rust, mostly easy rocker panel repairs. Pop top operates but fabric has a few slits and would need to be replaced if you want to keep the bugs out (or get a fresh new one for ~$450). All doors (including sliding door) and internal cabinet / appliance doors work.
Needs a good cleaning on the exterior. I may get to that and if I can, will try to post new photos. Most of the dark areas are just dirt. See the "V" to the rear of the pop-top, passenger side - I created that with a cleaning cloth. Average rust for the year. Front windshield is broken. I have new weatherseal for it and a place that will do the work. I also include the shop manual and some extra parts.
This was originally the Yosemite Yellow color, painted "tan" before I acquired it in early 90's. You can see the original color in the photos of the interior.
Great restoration project for a VW bus person , with great upside "flip" or resale potential. Every needed part or panel can be obtained online from a variety of sources, Just Kampers, Bus Depot, Jbugs, Wolfsburg West, etc. Or, could be a daily driver and weekend camper once the engine idle is corrected. Rolls, steers, brakes - ready to be transported/shipped, or driven (but without the idle you need to be good at the clutch and left foot braking - kind of a challenge for many and not really the safest).
