Vehicle Description
Up for sale is my '76 Eldo convertible in desirable triple-white. I bought this car 4-1/2 years ago and have put less than 500 miles on it in that time. It has been stored in my garage the entire time, never outdoors. Neither I nor the previous owner ever drove it in the rain. I believe I am the third owner, and I could put you in contact with the previous owner if need be. The odometer reads 94,875, but I have no way of knowing if these miles are actual or if the odometer rolled over.
This is not a show car, but it's a great weekend cruiser which generates head turns and thumbs-up everywhere you go. The power top works well; I recently replaced the tensioner cables and 2nd bow pivot-brackets. The paint is in good shape. No body damage. Interior is in decent shape, no tears in the seats. The vinyl top is in good shape except for an unfortunate blemish/stretched spot on top, but it is not torn.
Some electrical accessories/functions do not work, like the trunk release, trunk soft-latch mechanism, power recline on the passenger seat, air leveling suspension, and AC. I'll be happy to get into the specifics over the phone with serious parties.
I have a clean Oregon title, but the car is not currently registered as it will not pass DEQ. It runs and drives well, transmission has no known issues, but it will need a tune-up and/or some carb tweaking to pass DEQ.
It includes the original soft boot. Also included is the shop manual, Fisher body manual, and convertible top manual supplement.
I really like this car and don't particularly want to sell it, but I just have too many other projects and things going on in my life right now, and, frankly, I'd like to re-claim my garage space. I will entertain reasonable offers from serious buyers.
