Used 1976 FJ 40 Land Cruiser for sale in lebanon, OR

Included in this sale are extra parts, such as front fenders, radio speakers, fuel pump, light bulbs, air filter and more. Probably didn’t need to go to the extent that we did, but since it was being stripped to the frame, decided to replace existing components since it was easy to get to the fuel pump, distributor, etc. I wanted something that was going to be reliable in the mountains.

My wife and I are 74 years young and I like to take photos of the back country. So, reluctantly selling my pet as circumstances beyond my control dictate the sale of my FJ. She is a sweet ride. No rattles. Final work was completed August of 2023.

Mileage the time of this posting was: 54,135

Strong running 2F inline 4.2 Liter 6 cylinder engine. 9000# Warn winch works perfectly. No oil or water drips. This is back country ready and a blast to drive. Has Alpine AM/FM CDA-9883 MP3/WMA/AAC CD stereo, new Pioneer TS-A6990F A Series 6x9” 700W 5-way speakers enclosed in new Attend Pro Tuned Speaker enclosures. New Garmin DriveSmart 55/65 navigation with BC 40 wireless backup camera, power disc brakes.

Previous owner installed air conditioning by VintageAir, GM saginaw power steering unit, new brake and clutch master cylinder, aluminum radiator, 4” lift, and Warn winch. The FJ came with a Weber carburetor and filter, which I have replaced with the proper carburetor as the Weber carburetor had serious issues.

The old tub has been replaced with a new 3/4 Aqualu aluminum tub so no more worries about the tub rusting out.

Comes complete with owner’s manuals for Alpine radio, VintageAir, Garmin navigation system, FJ40 maintenance manuals and one maintenance manual on CD.

Have well over $25,000 in restoration work performed on this rig. Work performed on the FJ during restoration included, but not limited to, mainly because I can’t remember everything that has been completed:

DRIVETRAIN
NEW ITEMS: knuckle sweeps and wheel bearing rebuild, Warn hub gaskets, relay rods, drag links, Rancho steering stabilizer, front wheel alignment, disc and drum brakes inspected and all where in great condition.

Flushed and inspected existing aluminum radiator and purchased a used original air cleaner assembly & filter. Removed filter and added high performance air filter. Air conditioner unit inspected and recharged. NEW ITEMS: carburetor, aluminum carburetor riser to air cleaner assembly, carburetor manifold gasket, insulator plate/carburetor mount, valve cover filter, fuel and power steering lines, fuel pump, DUI Performance Distributor, spark plugs, water pump, upper and lower radiator hoses, heater hoses, radiator union pipe, vacuum hose, front and rear main engine seals (transmission and clutch plate inspected at this time and were in great condition), transfer case seals, battery, alternator, voltage regulator, upper and lower thermostat housing and thermostat, radiator drain peacock, radiator overflow cap and hose, windshield washer tubing, ignition relay switch, PCV valve, oil, filter, and antifreeze.
ELECTRICAL
NEW ITEMS: 4-Pin trailer connection, ignition key barrel, and wiper switch. Rewired rear and front - all lights, turn signals, fuel sending switch, etc., new negative battery cable and amp gauge. LED headlights, headlight harness, taillight lenses, taillight rock shields, taillight steel protector, fog lights, dashboard lights, dome light, light switch, and fog light switch.

BODY WORK
Replaced right upper quarter panel, rear cross member, and both door bows.
