Vehicle Description
*Would consider trading for a used cargo trailer, 6-7' x 10-12'.
1978 Chevrolet conversion van, built by Hop-Cap vans of Bremen, Indiana. 350 v8, 68k _original_ miles. airbrushed body with knights and castles. I've owned the van since 2003 and have used it as a utility vehicle, but over the last several years, have not used it enough to justify keeping and needed something 4WD.
Orig. seats/tables that were in the back are gone, so there is a ton of space to haul items, or it could be the perfect band van.
Runs like a champ and I wouldn't hesitate taking it anywhere - new bolt-on exhaust. Shifts fine, all fluids, brakes etc are in good working condition. New interstate battery this summer. Towing kit with transmission cooler, but you would need to reinstall the trailer wiring, which is included.
The not so great - lower side panels are rusty as shown in the photos, but the frame is very solid -there's also a hole in the floor in the rear RH corner but the flooring covers it. Cracks in the windshield, needs a new spare tire and one of the belts squeals when first starting and warming up the vehicle.
I've never driven it in the winter, so the rust is all from the previous owner, who was the orig. owner.
