Used 1978 Jeep CJ-5/5 0 v8 for sale in Vail, CO

1978 CJ-5 Jeep Get yourself a proper mountain vehicle for the summer! This CJ-5 has the desirable 304 v8 from the factory - the largest available in a CJ. It is also in great running condition - these photos were taken yesterday on the road up to Piney Lake; 4wd was tested and works without issue. While in my ownership, it has been garaged at all times during the winter. Cold starts are no issue, the carburetor is working great as well. Smooth idle with a nice rumble from the Flowmaster exhaust.

- It also comes with an almost new BestTop soft top, perfect condition.

- The 3-speed T150 transmission was rebuilt less than a few thousand miles ago.

- Brand new mirrors were just installed.

- As mentioned, there is a Flowmaster exhaust system. Emissions should pass, but here in Eagle County there is no concern.

- The entire steering system has been redone a few hundred miles ago as well: power steering was also upgraded.

- There is absolutely no rust on the body, and there never will be - full fiberglass tub installed.

The car is in great working condition. There are no major or otherwise significant issues, only a handful of minor ones: the heating core doesn't seem to be functioning and the wiring isn't fantastic. It is, after all, approaching half a century old and it won't be perfect. From what I have repaired, I have kept the old parts and they can come if the car if you like. It also comes with a handful of new parts.
