Vehicle Description
UP FOR GRABS - One of a kind 1979 BJ40
This is a BJ40, the diesel version of the FJ40.
Registered in California, no smog required.
I built this truck for "The Clean Cruiser Project" a few years back. It has been my daily driver since.
I'm not in a hurry to sell. Please do a bit of research before reaching out, these are pretty hard to come by.
Looking for somewhere between 37-4? k for her. I'm guessing there will be a lot of interest.
I DO NOT NEED HELP SELLING THIS VEHICLE. It sells itself.
* Color: Olive Brown (Toyota 637)
* Engine: Cummins R2.8 Turbo Diesel
* Full Tub Replacement, Aqualu Industries
* Transmission: 5-speed NV4500
* Transfer: Rebuilt Original with twin stick kit.
* Tires: General Grabber AT2 31x10.5/15
* Fuel Capacity: 40 gallons with Man-A-Fre aux tank
* Radiator: Champion 4-core
* Rear Locker: Grizzly Yukon

Like most revamped older cars, there are a few things you may want to change.
* I have a morryde trail kitchen in the back instead of the two fold down seats. I did not reupholster the fold down seats, but the frames are powder coated.
* I have not put a second fuel door in for the second fuel tank. right now the tank is accessible via the wheel well. * comes with a soft top, but I also have the panels and glass for the hard top, just not the fiberglass lid. I can help you source one if need be.
* I have a ton of extra parts from the rebuild that will come with the rig, including a second set of fenders, stripped doors that need work (ambulance and front), and other goods.
Willing to deliver to new owner for cost of travel.
