Vehicle Description
FOR SALE ☆ 1979 Chevrolet Scottsdale BIG 10 "Patch"
If you've been looking for Perfect Patina, "Patch" has it! This is a 1979 Chevrolet Scottsdale BIG 10 built at the Janesville, WI plant, from Central South Dakota. Bought New at Cassels Motors in Faulkton, SD and traded early on to Stobbs Motors in Miller, SD just 41 miles south. It was a farm truck used to haul water, very occasionally until it was rescued by Mitchell, SD resident and Squarebody enthusiast, Mr. Hartley, who we acquired Patch from.
Mechanical: Just flipped over 82K miles on the Original 350, 4 Barrel w/TH350 Automatic and 3.07 gears. Runs, drives and stops well. Choke is a little finicy when its cold and it's jetted for lower elevations so runs rich up in the mountains. Take it from here.
Interior: Factory Red interior! The original cloth seat has some splits in the seams, but the foam in the seat is firm and verifies the mileage. Farm Truck cracks, fading w/character, but everthing functions as it should. The door panel were recently upgraded, big time, with a patina'd set found in Montana. They just match the look of the truck perfectly! There is some rust holes by the drivers door and kick panel (see pictures). Comes with a Sweet Custom trash can made out of an old boot! Plus a vintage "Keep On Truckin'" key chain!
Exterior: As mentioned above "Patina Perfection" of the aged code 17 - Mystic Silver & code 18 - Charcoal. It would be hard to change anything about the look of this truck. maybe order up some "Patina Sauce" from #SweetPatina! Not too much rust, the worst being under the battery tray. Minimal bumps & bruises for a SD farm truck. Not sure what the holes in the hood were for. Wheels are Restored Rally Wheels, with fresh 275/60R15 Cooper Cobra tires.
Topper is Optional: Period Correct insulated Pacer, made in Billings, Montana.
Let your creativity roll with Patch! And Enjoy! Priced at $7500 with topper, $7150 without.
