Vehicle Description
This 1979 Chevrolet Corvette is equipped with a rebuilt 350 c.i. V-8, rebuilt 4 bbl carburetor, original 350 THM automatic transmission, PS, PB, PW, PDL, new A/C compressor and A/C hoses and R134a refrigerant conversion, A/C needs a charge, cruise control, Pioneer AM/FM USB CD radio. Restoration includes new Corbeau seats, new chrome door handles inside and out, new armrests. New door panels, door weatherstripping, T-top weatherstripping…no leaks, top of door window belt run felt, dash, leather wrapped steering wheel, turn signal/high beam combo switch, taillights, carpet kit, center console, instrument console, tach/speedo mounting face, drivers door check/hinge, windshield. The doors, hood, windshield, and rear window were removed to facilitate paint work. The front end rebuild included new ball joints, control arm bushings, tie rod ends. The power steering ram and all related hoses were replaced. New KYB gas shocks were installed. Replacement of the brake master cylinder and all rubber brake hoses, front and rear. Brake work also included new pads, rear e-brake shoes and stainless steel hardware. The calipers are serviceable and leak free. My friend who I bought the car from, and who I’ve known for 20 years, had the engine professionally overhauled at 90,000 miles. A mild lope cam was installed at rebuild. The engine runs strong and will take you anywhere. The tranny was serviced with new fluid, filter, and pan gasket. The transmission shifts exceptionally smooth. Engine tune up parts are new and the distributor electronic ignition pickup was replaced. The differential was serviced and includes an associated upgrade: installation of a composite spring for silent and superior positive response over the squeak prone original factory steel spring. Clean title, and no wreck history four owner car. ATTENTION CALIFORNIA BUYERS/RESIDENTS. This car passed smog 11 years ago for title transfer. I don’t doubt that it will pass the California smog test as all smog related components are in place. I took possession of this car at 98,876 miles, and have only driven it 717 miles. The reason for selling? I’ve undergone right knee replacement and throttling the gas pedal induces pain. I just can’t drive it anymore. I have a 1” thick Manila envelope packed with $26,000.00 in receipts for the car cost $3,500.00, paint work $5,000.00, some outside labor $4,500.00, and $13,000.00 in parts. For sale $16,000.00 No weed, no trades. show contact info
