Used 1980 Chevy Corvette (red/purple) for sale in Abilene, TX

1980 Chevy Corvette (red / purple). Engine VIN 8 for the base 350 engine.

This has a hatchback design which I found was a modification done at the factory during these years through an aftermarket vendor. I've removed the back carpet due to it being old and in serious need of replacement. I have also removed a ton of the interior trim to work on fixing the wires. I have saved a lot of those parts and they will go with the car.

This was going to be another project car, but I'm realizing I have too many other projects. It is coming due for its annual inspection in November and I plan to inspect and register it this week or next. It's a beautiful car with lots of potential, but it needs to definitely find the right owner who has the time and money to invest.

The odometer does not work due to the previous owner rebuilding the transmission and forgetting to install the speedo gear in the transmission housing extension. The remedy was that he installed a GPS speedometer in the dash.
