Vehicle Description
1981 built Gazelle replicar for sale. These are replicas of a 1929 Mercedes, with mostly fiberglass bodies. I am told this one is built on a Ford Pinto frame and running gear. It is a 4 cylinder, 4 speed manual and has 9310 miles showing on the odometer. It has a new battery installed 9/2022. I did not test every electrical component, but car starts and runs well and clutch and brakes work OK. I find it very snug sitting in the driver's seat, and the car is set very low to the ground so takes a little effort to get in and out. It is well used but reasonable condition for its age.
This was my mother's parade car, driven once or twice a year but due to advancing age she asked me to sell it for her.
I don't know much about the car other than what you can see in the photos. I hand washed the car before taking pictures, and these are my observations. The convertible top is in pretty good condition, could use a more extensive cleaning and reconditioning to preserve and protect it. The maroon color condition is very good, no major chips or blemishes, but could use a good waxing. The grey part is good overall but I recall a couple small chips or cracks that would need repair and there are a couple rub spots under the belt which holds the hood. The rims have a special tool for removal, and tool is in the glove box. The rims have numerous chips through the chrome and are definitely showing age. The interior is also showing its age, with the exception of the front seats which may have been updated since built. The worst wear is on the trim upholstery on the sills by the front seats, though the back seat has a lot of blemishes also.
I live 200 miles from cars location so it will take some time and coordination to see the vehicle. Please be patient!
