Vehicle Description
This is a TOTALLY RUST FREE 1982 AMC Eagle "Limited" 2-Dr. Sport Sedan. Due to lack of time, I am going to have to part with this project that will definitely be a "show-stopper" for whoever finishes it. This is a very rare model, as 1982 was the last year for the 2-Dr. Sport Sedan, and it is one of only 1,968 produced for that year.
The first 2 photos are prior to any work being done...the third and fourth photos show Cadillac-style Landau top conversion...the 7th photo shows one of the Y-Spoke wheels...and the last photo shows exactly what this vehicle would look like if restored as original. PLEASE NOTE: Although I started this as a custom car project, nothing has been done that would preclude it from being put back original if that's what you'd rather do. This sale does NOT include the engine, transmission, and front-wheel-drive assy. (which I do not have). It currently has a 2WD front suspension with practically new (5,000 mi) components (listed down below), however the entire 4WD system is bolt-on from a donor car if you care to go that route. Also, just because this car is not completely together does not mean that it is not complete. Except for the engine, trans, and 4WD ft. member, it is very much complete. In fact, because the door panels and interior side panels are not currently installed, the opportunity for inspecting the inner body sections is great . . . for verifying it's rust-free status.
This car was originally a dealer demo, and has ALL options: AC, PS, PB, PW, Pwr Mirrors, Dual 6-Way Pwr Seats, Pwr. Ant., Rr.Wnd.Dfgr., Fact. Trunk-Pop, Tilt Wheel, Cruise, Sun Roof, Make-up Mirrors/Lights, and Leather Interior.
ALSO NOTE: I have ALL of the body and interior parts for this car, as well as many spares, and includes:
-- All ground effects
-- Brand new door gaskets (included, but not installed)
-- Brand new trunk gasket (included, but not installed)
Custom work done so far:
-- Computer system is removed (I still have, and it goes with the car), and engine compartment is finished and set up for a pre-computer V-8 engine.
-- Front suspension converted to 2WD components (but bolt-on back to 4WD) includes:
-- -- All new upper and lower control arm bushings
-- -- All new trunions/ball joints
-- -- All new drag-link and tie-rod ends
-- Engine compartment complete and ready for an engine
-- Complete Cadillac Fiber-Optic system for reading all exterior lights
-- Cadillac Lighted Key-Entry option (in progress)
-- Rear window and Landau top are freshly done in Cadillac style, to include
coach-type mouldings and coach lights
-- Beautiful Nissan Maxima rear deck wing with integral 3rd light modified for a perfect fit (not in pics).
Also included with this car is a 1982 AMC Technical Service Manual (good condition), and the 1982 AMC "Product Information and Data Book" (notebook) in mint condition, as well as a complete notebook log of all of my engineering notes and diagrams, including color-coded wiring layouts in great detail.
Price is $1,750.00 OBO. I have more than twice that in this car, but you are welcome to make me an offer, as I really need the space. Let's talk. Call Tom at Eight-2-8, Six-9-3, Nine-8-6-7 anytime between 10:00 AM and Midnight Eastern Time; or . . . email me anytime using the "Reply" button at the top.
