1982 Buick LeSabre Estate Wagon -$4000 OBO-
Over the last year I have included all the replacement parts in an excel sheet (see photo). I also have a new master cylinder and brake booster kit not installed yet in the box still ($200+$300 value)-total in parts just over $2300, and probably a few hundred man hours. I have been transitioning from blue interior to tan and leather, so currently have 2 interiors for the wagon 🙂 see photos to see current status (kinda cool hybrid but if you don't like switch back to blue or keep moving towards tan)
Notable Features that are not common: -Intact Original Roof Rack that works
-Dashpad has been painted and redone-no cracks
-Buick Rally wheels-these are rare to find (estimated value is $800 for rims +tires)
-Rear Tailgate fully functioning and working
-Original engine was overhauled last fall (I have tons of pictures of the process)
-Dash Speakers replaced ($110 Value), have not replaced rear yet
-Body does not have damaging rust-small surface rust points.
The tan interior has no cracks and significant damaging points which is why I started replacing it
Things that do not work:
- Radio decided 2 weeks ago that it wanted to stop working
- Power Antenna doesn't go up or down
-AC has not been tested so it has been disconnected completely
- The passenger window isn't working. I got all the other doors and windows working but haven't had time to look at this one yet
- Central vents in the dash are not blowing air through em, but the lower vent and defrost vents do blow vent air well -and heat works great!
-Muffler has been cut off due to rust damage. There is minor surface rust on the bottom of the doors but no frame or body rust damage (nothing hurting the structure or integrity of the vehicle)
- Dash clock I believe was shorted out
-Fuel Gage isn't accurate
-Windshield is cracked
I do drive this wagon around, it does drive and run safely on all 4 classic rally Buick rims. Nothing would make me hesitant to drive it across Colorado. It's to the point of turning into a cosmetic project more than mechanical for me. Clean IL title, it will not pass emissions even if you tried because the emissions kit was deleted in the engine overhaul done last fall.
I have more videos and pictures of the original interior and wagon as it's been restored, but as always seeing it in person is the best choice.
Selling for $4000 OBO with everything I have for it -both interiors (tan headliner and carpet can be included but would need to pay shipping cost as they are in Tennessee), brake booster/master cylinder kit, new speakers, new parts, I have the muffler pipe if want to re-weld too.
I will not respond to automated message formats-feel free to message me for my phone number, come see it in person, take it for a test drive, and see what all has been done to it
