The good:
This is a strong running and reliable van. It’s been my daily driver and road trip/camping vehicle for several years.
The TDI swap is straightforward and easy to maintain and service. I’m happy to arrange an inspection with the local garage of your choice.
Fuel mileage averages 30mpg.
The bad:
It doesn’t have a perfect body, it’s probably got a dent or something in every panel.
The intercooler system is not finished, it only has the air to water heat exchanger currently. This simply means it isn’t as efficient. The ECU reduces fuel accordingly so it is not harming the engine.
The tires it comes with have dry rot.
It could use a taller geared transmission for sure.
My wife and I bought a Westfalia so this one has to go.
I’m happy to answer any questions you may have.
