Vehicle Description
Calling all organic farmers, townies, or anyone looking for a unique electric pickup!.This is my 3 local owner 1982 VW EV Caddy project for sale. I have invested over $9k and at least 100 hours to get this project to 3rd base, and it just needs someone to knock it in home. With this project you get:
(40) Powin F-100 Ah 3.2V Lithiom Ion battery cells= 128 volts including all buss bars and hardware. [spent $120 each=$4800]
Voltsrabbit Electric conversion kit (elecrtroauto.com):
9" Warp DC motor (already mounted with adapter to the stock vw 4 speed transmission)
CURTIS Controller
Battery Box and mounts
Most of the wiring (needs 20ft or so of 2 gauge power wire) Paid $3k used was $10k new in late 1980's (has Original VHS installation guide video)
ZEVA (Zero Emissions Vehicle Austraila) brand BMS12's/EVMS Lite/Display Screen new for $750
The truck has 183k miles on the odometer, but probably a couple thousand more as it sticks for a couple of weeks each time the mileage gets to XXX999.9. All of the unnecessary ICE components (1.6 diesel motor/exhaust/fuel tank) have been removed and are no longer with the car. The bed is rust free with the paint still fresh as it has had a Glass-rite brand over-top canopy installed since it was new. It has aftermarket 15" BBS mesh wheels with 185/55hr15 tires. The headliner is still intact and interior is in overall decent shape for being almost 40 years old. This will be a fun and rewarding vehicle with top speed of 80mph with about a 60 mile range for the right person to finish and get on the road. It currently has a non-op title and obviously needs to be trailered. My hard earned investment is your gain at a sacrifice. $5000
