Vehicle Description
1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce.
All original, never wrecked, no new paint, no rust.
Excellent mechanical shape.
Very good appearance. 1986 paint is thin in places but still has gloss.
Recently: tires (maybe 1500 miles), water pump & hoses, wires, plugs, cam cover gasket, brake pads front and rear.
Top replaced in last few years and is water tight.
Everything works: lights, radio has new speakers, gauges, wipers, power mirrors and windows.
Bosch fuel injection has been trouble free. Starts easily, no smoke, strong oil pressure. Never let me down. Speedometer works, odometer does not.
Spiders of this Era had chassis flex on bumpy roads. This has been remedied with a chassis stiffner kit that attached to the steering box and idler box, and anchored to the subframe. This greatly improved the steering and handling and cured the flex. See photos.
